Musings: My Big Sister – Porsche!

This is my special Big Sister, Porsche. Porsche is over 13 years old and she is always so sweet to me. Mom and Dad learned in February that Porsche had a large tumor on something called her Adrenal gland that was growing towards her big artery. They couldn’t do surgery given its location and the doctors told Mom Porsche would be with them only two days to two weeks at the most. But that was on February 10th and how she has surprised them.

Mom and Dad have her on a special type of care called palliative care. She has a special diet, but given she is in this time of life she can and she does get just about anything she wants! She gets her medicine twice a day for the discomfort. But she still has a lot of energy and she is definitely the leader of our pack! I think maybe she was waiting for me to arrive, so she could teach me about girl puppy things! I am so glad she is still her to be my sister.

Mom and Dad, love their sweet miracle girl and cherish each day with her, just as they love all of us kids. Porsche loves her Dad especially, but tonight had a rare cuddle with Mom. I sure love my BIG sister!
