Today was my third day with my new family and it was great. I spent the day with my Dad working and playing in the backyard and I almost got Lincoln to play with me! dad is retired and unless he is out doing something called “golfing” he is usually here with us.

But now Mom is home from work and teaching tonight. I was so excited to see her. She has the best lap ever for sleeping! She told me I am going to the Puppy Spa tomorrow. I’m not sure what this means, but Mom tells me I will love Joni and I will look like a “new puppy”! Good night All!

Dad has his hands and his lap full!! Porsche needs to be hand-fed for her food and her pill. But my brothers told me to join them, because Dad is a softie!

The first walk in the Park! First we all line up and Dad puts collars on the older pups. I keep mine on most of the time. Mom says it is for safety.

I did great! I am doing well on my lead and I stay close to the other pups. But I still haven’t figured out (according to Mom) that it’s also the time to also do my “business”.  I am just so distracted by the new sites and smells. But, this will come.

It was raining and Dad didn’t put on our slickers. So it is time to dry off (I will have a hair cut soon) and then a nap! But before our nap, we will get treats! We love treats! I especially love treats!!

Good Morning World! Waking up to Day Two of my new life! The sun is just coming up and I am hearing weird chirping noises from outside our window!

I decided to sleep on the bed last night nestled between my Mom and Dad. I slept all night long and then woke up this morning, rolled over and they rubbed my belly. Oh I wished I could purr! It felt so good! Then I kissed my Dad on his furry chin. It felt funny, but I think I am going to love giving kisses and I definitely loved my belly rub.

My brothers and the cat slept at the end of the bed, and my sister was in her place on Dad’s pillow. She had a coughing spell early this morning. I was scared, but she is resting now and I got to see how much my parents love her. I understand she has cancer and how I need to make the best of each day with her! I’m going to start today!

Have a good day all! We are going to do something called Winterizing the backyard. It should be fun! Although, Dad didn’t seem as excited! I’m happy because I will be with my new family all day!

My first day in my new forever home is drawing to a close and I am a tired puppy. But what a great day it has been!

We went for a walk and I met some of our new neighbors. They all want to say hello, but I am not so sure and hid behind my Dad. We spent time in the backyard and I am learning about my new family. They are still not so sure of me, and in fairness I am not so sure of them. But I know in time we will become good puppy friends.

Night all.. Tomorrow brings another day.

Dad with his four charges. The pups are working on building trust and their relationships. Porsche and Lincoln are generally indifferent right now, and Tesla is a little jealous and somewhat grouchy, both expected given his rescue circumstances. But overall a good Day One of bonding for these four sweet pups.

This girl is working on bonding with her Dad, whom she isn’t quite sure of as yet. We learned from her adoption that she wasn’t to sure of men. But if anyone will win her over, it will be Craig.

She is quickly learning the concept of treats. Thanks to her role models! A beautiful day to have the pups in the backyard!

Treats! The great motivator!

Pretty amazing to have all four of them captured in one photo on the first full day of Shelby joining our family! She will be getting her puppy cut in a week. We wanted to give her a few days to adjust to all of the newness before this happens. But such a sweet face to add to these sweet faces.. She is still learning her place among the pack!

The first of many future family photos! Four part harmony! At least for the moment! Let me introduce them: Porsche is the oldest at nearly 14 (she is the black and white pup), Tesla in next at about 10 (he is the lilac color, more blonde than me), he was rescued by Mom and Dad almost three years ago – I hear his story was much worse than mine!), and Lincoln is four, he is the dark colored puppy. We also have a cat in our family, Miss Bentley. She is a little camera shy. But, I promise to post her picture in the future!

They all have new hair cuts and they must think I am a site. But Mom tells me I will be getting a bath and a haircut very soon! Hmm… I just had a bath and I am not sure whether I like this idea or not!
