This is Mom – sharing thoughts on the life and passing of our oldest girl. Life comes full circle. Born in Toledo a sweet little soul, adopted at only four pounds. A feisty, independent and loving little girl, who loved her Mom and came to love her new Dad even more.
How does one capture the essence of Porsche in so few words and photos, when there are hundreds of possible photos to be shared. Our sweet girl, Porsche passed over the Rainbow Bridge early this morning, surrounded by her Mom and Dad, and her three puppy siblings. A beautiful moon and a peaceful ocean, as if glass, preparing for her passage.
On Saturday, the 30th, Porsche had one more great romp on the beach, something she loved to do. We knew it was only a matter of time, but the dramatic change yesterday still left us stunned. We’ve cherished every extra moment of the past 11 months, since she was diagnosed with the tumor on her adrenal gland and was given no more than two days to two weeks. She proved them wrong.
We are so appreciative of all of the thoughts, prayers and caring we have been extended over all this time, especially the past 24 hours. We smile through our tears knowing Porsche is now running free with her big brother Beemer. What a glorious sight this is.
